Why is an IT career at Luxottica exciting?

I’m excited to come to work every day because I get the opportunity to work with some of the brightest minds to solve our business challenges. Every day is different and that’s part of the excitement. Whether it is providing solutions for manufacturing, distribution, retail or insurance, the opportunities to get involved are vast.

Our charitable organization, OneSight, also values the Information Technology team and we get the opportunity to be involved with a group that is focused on making sure people all over the world have access to vision care.

How is working in IT at Luxottica different from your previous work environments?

Luxottica is a global organization that presents a lot of opportunities to get involved with people from all around the world. Rather than working with people sitting next to you every day, I get a daily chance to collaborate with my peers in Italy, Australia, South Africa, etc.

What are you working on now?

I’m currently involved in a multi-year project that has a global impact for Luxottica. I get to lead a team that is focused on delivering systems to the business while also focusing on the financial impact. It’s a great combination that focuses on technology and the core business.
