Refreshed, Refocused and Re-energized at Optical Summit
Luxottica associates from across the country recently came together in Orlando, Florida to have fun, work hard and develop great ideas at our yearly Optical Summit. The Summit also gave us the opportunity to honor and appreciate our people for the critical role they play in building Luxottica’s strong and passionate culture. I work for Pearle Vision out of the North American headquarters for Luxottica Retail, so it’s easy to get caught up in the stratosphere of strategy and planning and lose sight of the daily interactions between our store associates, licensed operators and patients. Likewise, those that truly make our brand come alive, the people with whom our patients and customers interact every day, face the inverse reality. One of the reasons I love Luxottica’s Optical Summit—and look forward to it all year—is that for a brief, yet powerful time, people all across our brands come together and experience this amazing organization from one shared perspective.
Refreshed, refocused, and re-energized are words that I’ve been using to describe the Pearle Vision brand for months. We redesigned the logo, the look and feel of the store, and even the experience we provide to our patients. Our people are what make Pearle Vision great; from our leadership team to our doctors and associates, each person plays an important role in creating a brand that puts customers first. The Optical Summit provided the attendees the opportunity to look back at Pearle Vision’s journey and recognize that what made Pearle Vision great then is what makes Pearle Vision great today: genuine eye care from your neighborhood doctor.
